Self-reflection
1
Ask yourself why you want to improve your image. Is this for yourself, or for others? What do you want to achieve by enhancing your image?
If you are trying to change your appearance to attract others, be careful to stick to your true self and only do those things you believe are right when implementing the following steps.
2
Determine which parts of yourself you feel comfortable with and which parts you don’t like as much. Most of us would find it easier to identify the parts we don’t like, but it’s equally important to know what’s good about ourselves.
Once you have identified the parts you are most comfortable with, think about how you should present your best self.
3
Face reality and know what you can change and what you can’t. Make a list of what you like and don’t like about each, and then be realistic about which parts you can indeed change. Doing so may help.
For example, not being tall is something you can’t change, but you can wear high heels (for women) or thick-soled shoes (for men or women) to make yourself appear taller if you want. There are also certain things you can do to give the appearance of slenderness when it comes to your clothing and hair. For example, if you are not tall, then you should not have long hair or wear long coats with hemlines that reach below the knee, as they will make you appear shorter.
4
Learn to like your own traits. You may be unhappy with your image, but traditional aesthetics are not the only criteria for judging your appearance. After completing the following steps, try moving at least one item from your “dislike” list to your “like” list.
Maybe you hate your hair because it’s too thick. But with a proper trim and the right products and styles, you may be able to change things and really enjoy the possibilities of your hair.
5
Be true to yourself. Ideally, all you have to do to enhance your image is to show your true self, rather than portraying yourself as a glamorous paragon that meets the standards of society at large. Keep this in mind as you work to enhance your image.
Maybe you like your natural hair color and skin tone best, and neutral clothing to wear. Maybe you like your colorful hair best, the piercing accessories you wear, and the handmade, one-of-a-kind clothing you wear. Don’t let society dictate what your best self should look like. The person who knows you best is you.
6
Be gentle with yourself. For some of us, making ourselves more comfortable with our image is as simple as getting a new haircut. But for others, the process can be much longer and more difficult. It’s important to understand that all of us have worked hard to build confidence and maintain healthy habits. The key is to maintain a positive mindset, and most importantly, to treat yourself well.
If you think that improving your image requires more exercise, then treating yourself gently means recognizing the reality and knowing the limits of your abilities. For example, if you are not in the habit of exercising regularly, then start by exercising twice a week and slowly increase the frequency. Gentleness also means that you won’t be angry with yourself if you miss a day of exercise or make a mistake. You’ll admit your mistake, forgive yourself, and then commit to starting over tomorrow.
7
Create a realistic action plan. Having a clear understanding of your goals can help you stay focused and work in the right direction. When creating an action plan, be careful not to set too many goals for yourself at once. If you make too many changes at once, you may be overwhelmed and unable to stick to any changes.
If you decide to lose weight, improve your skin and sleep better, you will likely need to make changes to your lifestyle in stages.
For example, you can start by exercising twice a week and making sure you wash your face twice a day with a proper cleanser for the first week or two. You should find out if you have dry, normal, combination or acne-prone skin and choose the appropriate cleanser for your skin type.
8
Take notes. Record your thoughts and feelings in a journal as you think about your motivations and plans for improving your image. Keep a journal for improving your image. Record your action plan in the journal so you can easily refer back to it.
When developing new habits to enhance your image, it is still important to make notes in a journal. This will help you evaluate which initiatives are working and which are not.
9
Face reality and remain patient. Unless you are well-funded and willing to undergo surgery, efforts to enhance your image will not have immediate results. It’s a big project that requires long-term lifestyle changes. You should give yourself the necessary time and space. The amount of time required will vary from person to person depending on their individual goals and circumstances.

Getting Healthy
1
Drink plenty of water. Most people don’t drink enough water. Drinking more water will not only improve your skin quality, but it will also help you stay focused, have more energy, and even lose a few pounds.
The recommended amount of water varies, but the average is 8 glasses per day (240 ml per glass).
To confirm that you are drinking enough water, you can check the color of your urine. Clear or light-colored urine means that you are drinking enough water; conversely, dark-colored urine means that you are severely dehydrated.
2
Healthy diet. The meaning of a healthy diet varies from person to person and depends on the chemical structure of your body. As a general rule, you should consume adequate amounts of protein from lean meats or other alternatives, nuts, healthy fats from extra virgin olive oil and avocados, and other nutrients from fruits and vegetables. You should also try to avoid processed foods and sugar.
If you are lactose intolerant, vegetarian, strict vegan or celiac, or if you have any other special dietary requirements, it is best to consult a nutritionist to learn about the best diet plan for you.
Note that changing your diet is not the same as going on a diet. Do not lose weight by reducing your calorie or healthy food intake unless your doctor advises you to lose a significant amount of weight. Diets are not effective; this is well known. When you feel hungry and exhausted from dieting, your body has less energy to keep you going.
3
Focus on your health and how you feel, not your weight. Instead of looking at the reading on the scale every morning, think about how your bones feel, how your brain feels, and whether you feel energetic. Unless you have a medical condition, you will find that changes in your health will improve these conditions over time.
If you are suffering from a medical condition, then make sure you have consulted your doctor and obtained their approval before making any lifestyle changes.
If your height is 180 centimeters and you learn that your favorite actor weighs 100 pounds, then you need to face reality. Being 180 centimeters tall and weighing only 100 pounds is not healthy. You will be so thin that you will be left with skin and bones.
4
Exercise. Choose the sports you like and effective for your body, and slowly integrate them into your lifestyle. If your workout frequency has reached twice a week, then try to start working out three times a week. Ideally, your training program should combine flexibility training, strength training, and cardio.
Eventually, your exercise will become longer and more intense until you are exercising 3-5 days a week for at least 30 minutes a day.
Since you are choosing exercises that you enjoy, exercise is more of a reward than a task. You could take a dance class or join a group exercise!
If you have knee problems, don’t make a running plan; swimming is a more appropriate exercise.
5
Meditate. Meditation allows you to get more in touch with your mind and body. Not only does it help you focus on your goals, it also helps develop a sense of inner peace and tranquility, making it easier to accept yourself as you are, no matter where you are in your life journey.
6
Get enough sleep. When we are often sleep deprived, we will not be able to stay at our best. This is reflected in our mood, body language and skin. We will hunch over, have droopy eyelids, dark circles or bags under our eyes, which in turn makes us less attractive. Try to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep a day. In addition to rationing, you should also ensure regular sleep, for example, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day.
If it is difficult to fall asleep, the progressive muscle relaxation method may help you.
Before going to bed, lie in bed, close your eyes and breathe deeply, and feel your body. Start at the top of your head and work your way down your body, first tensing your muscles and then relaxing them. The proper sequence is as follows: forehead, eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, nose, mouth, jaw, neck, shoulders, upper arms, lower arms, hands, fingers (make a fist), chest, upper abdomen, lower abdomen, pelvis, hips, thighs, knees, calves, ankles, feet, toes. When you’re done, tense up your muscles all over your body, hold for a few moments, and then relax.
For those who work from home, the transition from work to sleep can be difficult, especially if the residence is small and does not have a dedicated office space. If suffering from insomnia, you may want to set aside a specific area for sleeping and only for sleeping. Don’t bring work into that area. Turn your bed into your sanctuary.
Essential oils and herbs may also help with bedtime relaxation. There are a variety of means used to relax before bed, both essential oils like lavender and neroli, and herbs like valerian root. If you choose to take nutritional supplements, consult your doctor or professional first to make sure they can be used safely with the medications you are currently taking and will not adversely affect your condition.
7
Treat yourself. While doing your best to enhance your image, you may need to work on overcoming a lack of confidence in your appearance. Even if there are no problems in this area, you may find that enhancing your image is a difficult process. You should treat yourself for the effort you have made.
The reward could be buying a nice dress, or a day at the spa, or even buying your favorite video game without compromising your workout time. Or maybe it’s buying a fitness class or membership that you’ve always wanted, but at a high price.

Improve Your Complexion
1
Buy the right cleanser for your skin type. This is not difficult, as most skin care brands sold in drugstores will clearly state on the label the skin type for which it is suitable.
There are four common types: normal skin, combination skin, oily or acne-prone skin, and dry or sensitive skin. Normal skin occasionally has acne but does not have any problem areas; combination skin usually combines the characteristics of dry and oily skin, being dry on the cheeks and oily on the forehead, nose and chin; and dry or sensitive skin can flake and is usually sensitive to scented cleansers.
2
Wash your face twice a day. When washing your face, move gently. Avoid scrubbing hard, as this can irritate the skin and cause blemishes or deepen existing ones.
3
Use a toner after washing your face. After washing, use a cotton pad to gently apply toner. Toner helps balance the pH, or acidity, of your skin and can make your skin look healthier. Do not use a toner that contains alcohol as it can dry out and irritate your skin.
4
After washing your face and using a toner, apply a moisturizer. As with cleansers, most brands of moisturizers sold in drugstores will indicate on the packaging what type of skin they are for.
5
Exfoliate once a week. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and brightens the skin. However, if you have severe acne, you should not exfoliate because the friction can irritate your skin and exfoliating creams can spread acne bacteria to other areas of the skin.
6
Buy acne creams. You should have tea tree oil or a cream containing salicylic acid on hand in case you get pimples on your face. Do not squeeze the pimples, as this will only make the situation worse.
7
Treat severe acne. If you have severe acne and it’s really hard to control, consider visiting a hospital or dermatologist. A professional can help you deal with acne and develop a treatment plan to reduce it or even eliminate it altogether.
Your doctor or dermatologist may recommend medication or a topical cream, or a combination of both.
If you are a male, try to shave in the direction of the hair growth when you trim your face to avoid acne breakouts.
8
Wear sunscreen. Many facial moisturizers have a sun protection factor of 15 to 30. Look for the words “SPF 15” or “SPF 30” on the label. When buying sunscreen, make sure it does not clog pores, which means it will not cause acne, especially when buying facial sunscreens. Do not use sunscreens that contain oil.
9
Apply concealer on your face. If you are really uncomfortable with your complexion, consider using a tinted moisturizer or concealer. Such moisturizers and concealers are available for both men and women. Choose a product that won’t create acne, won’t clog your pores, and is appropriate for your skin type.
To cover up acne or other red blemishes that appear on your face, try applying a small amount of green concealer on top, followed by a concealer that matches your skin tone.
Note that although some brands claim that their makeup can suppress acne, makeup can actually worsen acne.
10
Make your eyes clear. Match your beautiful complexion with clear eyes. Use a cream or concealer to reduce puffiness and dark circles under your eyes. Use eye drops to reduce the blood in your eyes.
If you suffer from any eye related diseases, consult your doctor before using eye drops.

Improving body odor
1
Shower daily. You should shower every day, unless you have extremely dry skin or are unable to do so due to certain conditions or living conditions. Take care to wash and rinse your body thoroughly when bathing, especially in areas like your armpits and genitals where you sweat a lot.
When choosing a soap, products that smell good may be attractive, but strong-smelling soaps can irritate the skin. It’s safer to choose soaps that are unscented or appropriate for your skin type. For example, if you have oily skin and have acne on your back, the soap you buy must be suitable for oily and acne-prone skin.
2
Brush your teeth at least twice a day. If your teeth are healthy and the enamel is not thinning, then you can use whitening toothpaste. If your teeth look a little translucent, you should use toothpaste that is sold as enamel repair and is suitable for sensitive teeth.
3
Floss your teeth at least once a day. Doing so will remove food and plaque from your teeth, keeping them healthy and your breath fresher.
4
Use deodorant. There are many different types of deodorants for different purposes. If you are health conscious, you should avoid antiperspirants that contain aluminum, which studies have shown can cause cancer.
5
Change your clothes often. Make sure your clothes are clean and that they are flat when necessary. For example, shirts and slacks may need to be ironed after washing.
Better practice is as follows: wash tank tops, underwear and sportswear after wearing them once, but bras can be worn more often. Tops should be washed once or twice, depending on how much you sweat. Pants can be worn five to six times before washing. Outerwear should be washed every one to two months.
If you have acne on areas other than your face, washing your pajamas frequently can also help you avoid acne, preferably after three to four wears.
6
Wear perfume or cologne. Find a product that you feel is unique and make it your “signature scent”. Different fragrances suit different body chemistries. You should go to a drugstore or department store that sells perfume and cologne and try out different products until you find the right scent for you. Wait for at least an hour after spraying the perfume or cologne on your body because the scent will change over time.
Fragrances can be classified into several types, namely aromatic herbal (grassy spice), chypre (moss, patchouli, bergamot), citrus (tart like grapefruit or mandarin), floral (freshly picked flowers, note that floral and fruity notes often overlap), leather (smoky, tarry notes mixed with floral and fruity notes), oriental (musk, vanilla, resin, wood mixed with floral and spicy notes), and woody (warm sandalwood, dry or strong cedar notes, such pleasant scents are often mixed with aromatic herbal and citrus notes).
Be careful not to overspray with cologne or perfume. Too much cologne or perfume can be too much. If you’re not sure how much to spray, try a few sprays and start with a small amount. You can even spray towards the front and walk through the fragrance mist to let the perfume fall evenly onto your body.
7
Refreshing breath. If you’re meeting with someone but are worried about your bad breath, consider eating a few mints or using a breath freshener spray. If you choose to chew gum, be sure to spit it out before attending any important gatherings, as many people find gum chewing to be a rude, obnoxious behavior, and some even consider it a sign of lack of breeding.

Dress appropriately
1
Define your style. You probably already have a clear idea of who you are and how you want to present yourself. However, if you haven’t found the answers to these two questions, it may be helpful to start a “fashion journal” or even create an online “fashion folder” of your favorite styles. When defining your style, you should consider the clothes and hairstyles that best represent you. If you wear makeup, your choice of makeup should also follow this criteria.
Are you more sharp-tongued or restrained? Are you outgoing and like to draw attention to yourself? Or do you like to be the center of attention, but prefer to wear unisex clothing and then surprise others with your personality.
Sometimes it must be admitted that due to financial or work constraints, you may not always be able to find a style that expresses your true personality. For example, if you are a nurse, you must wear a specific style of uniform; however, you can choose the style of uniform to express your personality.
2
Figure out your body type. Knowing your body type can help you determine which hairstyle is appropriate and which parts of your body you should accentuate. There are differences between the body types of men and women.
In general, there are four body types for women: apple, straight or rectangular body type, pear and hourglass. Apple body type is top-heavy and light, with large breasts and thin legs; linear or rectangular body type has a waist and hips that are not prominent, like a boy; pear body type is bottom-heavy and light, with hips significantly larger than the chest; hourglass body type has hips and breasts of similar size and a thin waist.
Men also have four body types: normal body type, inverted triangle, rectangular body type and triangle type. Among them, the normal body type has wider shoulders and gradually narrows toward the waist; the inverted triangle has a robust physique with moderate or higher muscle strength; the rectangular body type is thinner or narrower, with the waist and shoulders being the same width; and the triangle has a more prominent upper abdomen but narrower shoulders.
3
Dress according to your body type. Use clothes to highlight the parts of your body you like. For many women, this means accentuating their waist, chest, hips or legs; for many men, it means highlighting broad shoulders, strong breasts or perky hips.
If you’re a woman with an apple-shaped body type, it’s best to wear clothes that highlight your slim legs so that others don’t notice your broad shoulders or thicker waist.
If you are male and have a triangular body type, you should make your shoulders appear wider and your upper abdomen appear thinner, a shapely, simple shirt is your best choice.
4
Choose the right color of clothes according to your skin tone. There are two basic types of skin tones, “warm” and “cool”. Although the same tone contains many different skin tones, figuring out which basic type your skin tone belongs to is a good starting point.
The base color of warm skin tones is yellow. The veins in this skin tone are usually green in color. Burnt orange, cream, sunny yellow, brown, dark green, and autumn leaf red are earthy colors that are better suited for people with warm skin tones.
The base color of cool-toned skin tones is pink. The veins in this skin tone are usually blue in color. Colors that are suitable for cool-toned negative skin tones are black, royal blue, navy blue and gray.
5
Organize your closet. After defining your style and knowing which clothes suit you best, check all the clothes in your closet and get rid of those that don’t suit you. When finances allow, sportswear and pajamas should also follow this standard of treatment.
Improving your image is largely the same as improving your confidence, so you should always look good, even in your pajamas.
If you’re not sure which clothes to get rid of and which ones to keep, invite a friend or two to give you advice. You can spend the whole night doing this, and as a thank you, why not invite them to dinner?
6
Only buy clothes, shoes and accessories that make you feel very happy. Discounted sale items may be attractive, but you can save money by buying only the clothes that fit you best.
7
Ask for help. When shopping for clothes, invite a friend or two to go with you. If you really don’t know which clothes are suitable for you and have more money on hand, you can even pay for a personal shopper to provide you with help.
8
Don’t forget the small items. Accessorize with watches, sunglasses, ties, necklaces, etc. Keep your nails neatly trimmed and, if you like, paint them in a color that matches your outfit. These little touches can make your style stand out more sharply.
For example, maybe you always wear black, but use accessories that are striking and bold. For women, this might be a chunky, bright necklace paired with a bright lipstick. For men, this might be a brightly patterned tie paired with vintage cufflinks.
Some of the

Have healthy, beautiful hair
1
Buy the right hair care products for your hair type. Is your hair thick, or thinning? Is it dry, oily, or neutral? Do you dye your hair? Is it curly, or straight? All of these factors will influence your decision to purchase hair care products, and fortunately most products, whether they are generic supermarket brands or professional brands, will state on the label what type of hair they are suitable for.
2
Wash your hair as little as possible. When hair looks greasy, flat and separated, it’s time to wash it. Try to reduce the frequency of washing your hair as much as possible while keeping it clean, as too much washing can dry it out.
3
Know your face shape. Face shape is divided into square or round face, goose egg face and heart-shaped face. Square or round face has the same facial width and length, but the square face has an angular chin; goose egg face has a facial length greater than the width; heart-shaped face is a pointed chin, the forehead hairline may be convex a tip downward to form a beauty tip.
4
Choose a hairstyle that suits your face shape. Go online or buy a hair magazine nearby to find some examples of hairstyles that you like and that match your face shape.
Square faces are better suited to chin-length bobs, which are edgier, angled cuts. Soft lines and layered hairstyles also work well.
Regardless of length, a layered hairstyle will make a googly-eyed face look more harmonious. Bangs have the same effect on long googly-eyed faces.
Heart-shaped faces usually have nice high cheekbones. Short, layered hair or long bangs can accentuate them.
5
Accept the reality. If you have less hair and straight hair, don’t go for a haircut that suits thick curly hair. Even the best hairdressers are not magicians, and they can’t fundamentally change your hair texture.
6
Get a quality haircut. Ask around, or look online, to see if there’s a well-regarded hairdresser near you. When you go for a haircut, take a photo of your chosen haircut with you so that the hairdresser knows exactly what cut you want. Tell the hairdresser what you want to achieve and make sure you both know exactly what to do next.
7
Consider coloring your hair. Logically, your natural hair color should match your skin tone, but hair color is certainly a great option when you want to make a statement or add a little extra excitement to your overall look. Just like clothing colors, the choice of hair color should be based on skin tone tones.
If your skin tone is cool, you can choose a darker color, or a “cooler” color like black. If you want to be a little more daring, you can also choose blue.
If your skin tone is warm, you may want to choose a more earthy color such as red, copper or a strong warm brown.
If you can afford it, be sure to hire a professional stylist to color your hair for you. This way you can consult your stylist and ask him or her what color he or she thinks will best suit your skin tone hue. And usually, professional stylists use higher quality hair color products and suffer less damage to your hair when coloring it.
8
Trim facial hair. If you’re a woman, you’ll probably trim your eyebrows and remove hair from other areas of your face, such as mole hair, beard and chin hair. If you are a man, this area is a bit more involved, as you trim your eyebrows, shave and trim your beard style.
For men, it’s important to consider the shape of the face when trimming facial hair. For example, men with heart-shaped faces can grow a goatee or beard, which can be balanced with the upper half of their face.
9
Shave other parts of your body as needed. Many women and some men will shave their legs and armpits, and for pubic hair, at least trim it. If you don’t like or don’t want to do these things, you can leave them out. You are improving your image for yourself, and if you like your hairy legs, there is no reason to change them.

Showing confidence
1
Have a positive self-talk. Many people have negative thoughts, such as “I’m not good enough,” “I’m stupid,” or “I’m ugly. Don’t let these negative thoughts defeat you. Acknowledge them and counter them with positive self-talk.
Maybe one morning you find your clothes are a little tight and you think, “Oh my God, I’m too fat. I’m so ugly. I can’t believe I’ve gained weight. I’m so defeated.” At that point, mentally say to yourself, “I admit that tighter clothes are not a good thing. Yes, my clothes are a little tight, but it’s not the end of the world. I’m not going to be ugly because of it. I’m not dumb. I’m not a loser. It’s just that the clothes are a little tight. That’s all.” Then, counter with positive self-talk: “I did well in yesterday’s meeting,” or “I’m proud of how hard I’m working on my self-image.
2
Make sure you maintain good posture. Good posture means standing with a straight back but not a stiff one, and a slightly tucked jaw at all times. Even when sitting at a desk, maintain good posture and avoid hunching over.
3
Use positive body language. When talking to someone, there are a few things you can do to show that you are willing to talk to them and that you are actively listening to what they have to say.
Smile. A light, relaxed smile can show that you are happy to talk to them.
When looking at the person you are talking to, do not raise your chin and keep it tilted down so that it does not appear that you are “looking down” at them.
Avoid direct confrontation. Instead, you can face the person at a slight angle to avoid appearing overbearing.
Avoid a closed or closed stance, open your palms, open your eyes, stretch your eyebrows, and don’t keep your lips closed.
4
Maintain eye contact. Don’t overdo it. It’s inappropriate to stare at someone all the time or to stare at them with wide, unblinking eyes, but you should look them in the eye when you’re talking or listening to someone else. Of course, don’t forget to blink.
5
Exude charm. Being charming means being confident without being arrogant, being funny, being optimistic, and being an active listener. [9]
And in conversation, being charming means having content that speaks for itself, having a sense of humor, and focusing on the person you are talking to, which is especially important in this last point. You can ask them for advice. When they tell you something, you can follow up with some relevant questions. Acknowledge their opinion without judging.
6
Speak in a strong voice. Studies show that a high, weak voice conjures up images of submission, while a low voice conjures up images of social dominance. Ideally, you should use your diaphragm to vocalize and speak in a firm and confident manner.
Different vocal levels can be used when speaking, and they have different effects on the listener: the nasal voice has a higher pitch and is slurred; the mouth can produce sound, but it is less powerful and easily ignored; many men and women use their chest voice, which is more pleasant and usually keeps the person speaking interested in listening; it is not inherently bad, but not optimal; the diaphragmatic voice attracts attention, is the most attractive, and has the most powerful and natural sound.
To learn to use your diaphragm, you can practice deep breathing, puffing out your abdomen in your imagination and changing your old habits of shallow breathing, that is, breathing through your chest. This exercise will not only make you sound better, but also make you more relaxed and more focused.
If you really lack confidence because of your voice, consider spending money to hire a voice coach or at least look up some voice coaching videos online.
7
Have a beautiful smile. Smiling usually makes people think you’re friendlier and more approachable. The key to having a beautiful smile is sincerity, which means smiling with your eyes.
The way you smile depends on your environment, for example, when taking pictures or talking to people at a party, you can smile with your teeth showing, but if you want to get someone’s attention on the other side of the room, you can be subtle and purse your lips and smile.
8
Know what kind of person you are and stick to yourself. Like yourself and don’t change that. No matter how much you chase fashion, no matter how much beauty or fitness you do, it’s no match for the charm exuded by someone who is confident and readily accepts themselves.
If people know that you are stable and know how they should interact with you, then they will enjoy your company more. Conversely, if they know that you are sometimes funny and sometimes frustrating, then engaging with you may make them nervous.
When improving your image, you may look to some iconic celebrity or authority figure as a role model and try to make yourself like them. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but don’t always compare yourself to them or try to be exactly like them. What you need to do is to do your best to be the best you can be, not try to imitate others.
Tips
Treat others as you would like to be treated. Kindness and compassion are the most attractive qualities in a person.
Visit your dentist at least once every six months.
Make sure that the clothes you wear and the things you do make you happy. As long as you are happy and confident, you will radiate beauty from the inside out.
Don’t use too many cosmetics and beauty products. Use natural ingredients to care for your skin. Cosmetics and beauty products can contain chemicals that are harmful to you or the environment.
Try using natural products instead of chemicals. You can even find some home remedies and try them at home.
If you’re depressed, try doing something as simple as offering help to others in any way you can. This will make you feel better and have the feeling of being needed by others.
Don’t try to imitate others. Your beauty is unique and belongs exclusively to you.
Warning.
Taking care of your appearance is important to help boost your self-esteem, but being overly obsessed with “looking better” and putting too much effort into it can make you feel unhappy and make you less attractive in the long run.
