How to Put On a Wig

Wigs are beautiful and sometimes even necessary for birthdays, parties and other occasions. If you just want to enhance your style or need to wear a wig, it is important to know how to put on a wig and using this accessory can be tricky and difficult. First of all, you must try to make the wig look as real and natural as possible.

Part 1 Preparing your head and hair(How to Put On a Wig)

1. Choose a specific type of wig.

There are three main types of wigs, full lace wig, lace front wig and 360 lace wig. There are also three main materials that can be used to make wigs, including human hair, synthetic hair and animal hair. Almost every wig has its disadvantages and advantages, which is why it is important to make sure that you buy the best product for you.

A full lace wig is made with a lace cap through which the hair is sewn. It makes the hair look natural and the most common designs are those that look like animal hair or human hair. This wig is also easy to comb because it can form light anywhere.

1. Prepare the wig.

 

Before putting on the wig, you must make sure that the hair is not secured with tape or glue. You must collect all the hair of the wig to form a ponytail. If the hair of said wig is short, secure them in the back while making sure they are close to the edges. If using a full lace or half lace wig, adjust the lace so that the wig fits your hairstyle.

Make sure you don’t cut too much either so as not to ruin the wig’s natural hair texture. Keep a small section on the edge and secure it to your head in a natural way. At this stage, don’t worry about combing the wig because it will be tangled when you have to put it on. After washing, you can comb the wig.

2. Put on a wig.

Place your fingers on the part of the wig in the center of your forehead. Place the wig on your head and gently adjust it on your scalp while placing your fingers on your forehead. Then place the rest of the wig on your head and make sure to stick to the edges of the adhesive as much as possible so it doesn’t stick until you are ready.

Do not bend the wig upside down. This will give the impression that the wig is not centered correctly and may partially stick to the adhesive material before it is ready. If you can’t find the ideal position for the wig on your first attempt, carefully wipe it with a cotton swab dipped in an alcohol solution to peel it away from the affected area. Then reposition the wig and gently put it down.

Once the wig is fully secured, you can comb your hair as you wish. You can shape them however you like and try the most daring or interesting styles. In fact, the wig’s hair can be woven, curled or decorated as you see fit. The downside is that if you have a synthetic wig, avoid heating the wicks as they can melt or be damaged.

You can customize your wig by giving it a proper style before you wear it. This will make the wig fit your look better and make its head look more natural. Remember, the less you have to do, the better. Whether your lace front wig is made of human hair, animal hair or synthetic material, do not use too much product as it will leave a residue on your wig.
