How to clean false eyelashes

Some false eyelashes are expensive, so you may want to use them more than once. If you want to reuse your false eyelashes, you have many options. You can use a cotton swab or swab to clean your false eyelashes. You can also use tweezers and a plastic container filled with makeup remover to slowly clean your lashes. When you’re done, store your false eyelashes safely in a cool, dry place.

1
Clean up with a cotton swab

Prepare the tools. Prepare your tools before you start cleaning your false eyelashes. To use this method, you will need to have the following items on hand.
Makeup remover, for the eyes
Topical alcohol
Cotton balls
Cotton swabs or cotton swabs
Tweezers
Remove makeup gently with an oil-free makeup remover. Avoid eye contact with oils and cleansers after eyelash extensions.

Wash your hands. Wash your hands with clean tap water and antibacterial soap before you begin. Do not handle false eyelashes with dry hands, as this can easily cause eye infections.
Moisten hands with clean, warm tap water. Rub and lather your hands with antibacterial soap for about 20 seconds. Be sure to focus on washing between your fingers, the backs of your hands, and between your fingernails.
Rinse hands with clean water and dry with a clean towel.

Remove the false eyelashes. Apply makeup remover to the lashes to dissolve the glue. Press one finger down on the eyelid and gently lift the lashes with the other finger. Use the front of your finger or tweezers, not your fingernail.
Firmly grasp the lashes with your thumb and forefinger.
Slowly peel the adhesive strip of the false eyelash inward. False eyelashes will come off easily.
Do not use makeup remover products containing oil when wearing false eyelashes.

Soak a cotton ball in makeup remover and wipe it along the false eyelashes. Take a cotton ball and soak it in makeup remover. Gently rub the cotton ball along the false eyelashes. Move the cotton ball from the front of the lashes to the end, rubbing the paste strip of the false lashes as well. Keep wiping until all the makeup and glue has fallen off.

Repeat the above steps for the other side of the lashes. Turn the false eyelashes over. Take a new cotton ball and soak it in the remover, then repeat the process on the false eyelashes. Once again, work from the front of the lashes to the end. Make sure to wipe along the sticky strip. Be sure to remove all makeup.

Remove the glue with tweezers. Glue often sticks to the strip of false eyelashes and can be removed with tweezers.
Check for glue residue on the lashes. If you find glue, take out the tweezers. Hold the tweezers in one hand to pull off the glue, and grasp the lashes with the fingers of the other hand. Make sure to pull only with the tweezers. Pulling on false eyelashes can easily cause damage.

Dip a new cotton swab into the alcohol and wipe the strip of false eyelashes. Be sure to remove any residual glue or makeup from the false lash strip. Dip the swab into the alcohol and wipe it along the strip of false eyelashes. In addition to removing the glue, this will also disinfect the strip so that you can safely reapply the false eyelashes later.

Use a plastic container

Collect the materials. Make sure you have the materials ready before you start using this method. You will need the following items.
A plastic container.
An eye makeup remover
Tweezers
A paper towel
An eyelash comb

Wash your hands. As usual, you should wash your hands before you begin to prevent bacteria from getting on your false eyelashes. Be sure to use clean, warm water and antibacterial soap to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. Don’t forget to wash under your nails, between your fingers and on the back of your hands. Rinse your hands when you are finished and dry them with a clean towel.

Remove the false eyelashes. Wash your hands and remove the false eyelashes. You should use the front of your fingers, not your fingertips or tweezers, to remove the false eyelashes. Grasp the lashes with your thumb and forefinger and pull the strip inward. The false eyelashes should fall off easily.

Place the false eyelashes in a container. Simply place the lashes flat in the container.

Add makeup remover to the container. Pour about a tablespoon of makeup remover into the container. If the container is large, you may have to pour more remover. Use a sufficient amount of remover to ensure that the false eyelashes are completely immersed.

Let the container sit for 5 minutes. Find a place to store the container that won’t be obstructed by children or pets. Do not leave the container in place for more than 5 minutes or you will easily damage the false eyelashes.

Remove the false lashes with tweezers. after 5 minutes, gently remove the lashes from the container and place them on a clean paper towel. Make sure the tissue is placed on a clean, flat surface.

Clean the glue from the false lashes with tweezers. Pick up the false eyelashes with your index finger and thumb and use the tweezers to clean the glue from the false eyelash attachment strip. Remember to only pull with the tweezers, not tug on the lashes. Pulling will tear the false eyelashes.

Clean the container and add makeup remover. Rinse the container thoroughly, then add more makeup remover. You don’t need to add as much as before, just pour a thin layer on the bottom.

Hold the false eyelashes in the makeup remover with tweezers and swish them around. Take out the tweezers and hold the lashes in the container and swipe them back and forth. Move the lashes from the left side of the container to the right side. Then flip the lashes over and repeat the same operation for the other side of the lashes.

Repeat the above steps until the lashes are clean. Keep emptying the container and adding new remover, dragging the tweezers back and forth across the lashes. Keep doing this until the remover is dry and the lashes are completely clean.

Place the false lashes on a clean paper towel to dry. Once your false eyelashes are clean, place them in a safe place to dry. It’s a good idea to put your false eyelashes on something like a paper towel. Make sure to keep them in a safe place so they don’t get messed up by children or pets.

Use an eyelash comb to comb through your false lashes. Take an eyelash comb or disposable mascara wand and run it through your false lashes. Don’t skip this step. Combing your false lashes once after cleaning will help them retain their shape.

Storing false eyelashes safely

Allow your false eyelashes to dry completely before storing them. Wet false eyelashes can harbor fungus and bacteria, so you can’t store them while they’re wet. You may have to let them sit for an hour or so before you’re ready to store them.

Put the false eyelashes back in the box. You should keep your false eyelashes in their original box. Don’t leave your false eyelashes lying around in your makeup drawer. Doing so can cause them to stick to dirt and debris, which can lead to eye infections.
If you don’t have the original box, you can use a contact lens case. You can also purchase a box online to store your false eyelashes.

Store in a cool place. False eyelashes should be kept out of direct sunlight as they tend to discolor. Make sure to keep your false eyelashes in a cool place to prevent discoloration.

Tips
Be gentle. False eyelashes are fragile.
Cheap false eyelashes may not last more than a few uses.
